SILCHEM MARKETING OFFERS DIELECTRIC SILICONE COMPOUNDS FOR THE ELECTRIC UTILITY, GAS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY
Silicone compounds formulated for use in utility and telecom applications are available from Silchem Marketing. Product formulations are available with dielectric strengths up to 770 volts/mil with a dielectric constant of 2.7, making them suitable for applications where providing dielectric strength and a moisture barrier are critical. Formulations are stable in operating temperatures ranging from -40 0C to 204 0C. Low bleed properties ensure minimal separation of oils where maintaining moisture sealing and lubricating characteristics over a long period of time is important. Formulations can be developed to meet the needs of specific applications. Silicone compounds have also been shown to provide excellent anti-oxidant characteristics. Typical applications found today include use in low and medium voltage electric utility underground distribution systems and CATV installations. Silchem products are available in a variety of packaging options to meet the needs of the electrical and telecom industries. Packaging in mini-tubes from 1/3 gram to 14 grams (1/2 oz.) is available.
